Seastar MSN 1004 prototype conducts engine runs

After months of intense activities Dornier Seastar prototype MSN 1004 conducted its first taxi testing today, in the final preparation for the first flight.

A test team of technicians and pilots powered up the plane and performed engine ground runs and low-speed taxi tests, passing another major milestone to certification, which is expected to be completed by mid 2025.

After this final testing stage in preparation for first flight, the team will be securing a Permit To Fly from the German Civil Aviation Authority (Luftfahrt Bundesamt) within the next few weeks.
